Our client wanted to update and refresh their existing hallway, drawing room and snug areas to give a welcoming but high end, elegant aesthetic. The design brief asked to enhance the existing traditional character of the property, utilising its grand proportions and classic backdrop whilst bringing the interiors up to date using contemporary and premium styling.

We designed and supplied custom furnishings, bespoke handmade rugs, new room décor, new lighting, loose furniture and accessories. The dining room snug area saw a beautiful bespoke curved sofa in a soft powder blue velvet sit on a plush custom-made rug. Meanwhile the entrance hall was dressed to give a great first impression and the drawing room saw new décor, rug, fireplace, furnishings and styling.

In addition to the main house, the client had an unused and unloved basement room which comprised of basic concrete floor and breezeblock walls, the brief for this space asked for a new dark but luxurious cinema lounge. We designed this room to house state of the art cinema equipment with our nominated specialist supplier, giving our client and their family a fully immersive movie experience. The interior design of this stunning room transformation saw the integration of acoustic fabric wall panels, with custom stained timber inserts housing decorative wall lights and a secret door to a storage and equipment area. New plush carpet, bespoke furnishings, a secret door and bespoke joinery to give a beautiful but useable space. We created a feature bar area with marble illuminated floating shelf, integral fridges and storage. A super comfortable, deep, velvet sofa with chaise ends to stretch out and watch a movie. In addition, we also fitted a custom fixed poser table with bar stools and lamps giving the perfect place our client’s teenage sons to sit with a drink and watch sports games. Finally, we installed drop perimeter bulkhead ceiling with concealed mood lighting and employed new lighting controls for ambient scene selection.

Our client was thrilled with their new interior schemes which give this beautiful property the desired sophisticated and elegant feel to the ground floor living areas leading on to a wow factor cinema room surprise in the basement.
